Charbonnet Land is a professional land services company and we love what we do. The Charbonnet team consists of a core of loyal, highly motivated individuals led by a management team with extensive experience who serve our clients with a sense of urgency and professionalism. Our group is comprised of professional landmen who have worked together for many years, solidifying the cohesiveness and continuity of our company. We strive to exceed industry expectations using standardized procedures for all aspects of mineral and surface land work, including lease acquisition, preparation of runsheets, abstracts and title curative.

OUR STORY

Shortly after graduating from Louisiana State University in December of 1979, Craig Charbonnet commenced his career as a professional landman, working as an independent throughout the State of Louisiana. In 1981, Craig moved to Houston and began working as an in-house landman with Marathon Oil Company. During that time, he handled all phases of onshore mineral and surface land work. In November of 1989, Craig accepted a position with Plains Resources, Inc. as Land Manager – Exploration focusing on exploration ventures of all sizes as well as acquisition and exploitation of producing assets.

In April of 1994, Craig commenced his career as an independent and founded Craig S. Charbonnet, Inc., known today as Charbonnet Land. Since its founding, Charbonnet Land has flourished and become known as a standard of excellence in providing land services to the industry.

In addition to oil and gas services, we provide a full range of field services associated with pipeline rights-of-way and easement acquisition, and are licensed with the Texas Real Estate Commission for such work.  We also offer in-house mapping services featuring cutting-edge GIS technology to meet today’s industry standards.
